Work hard or work smart? The answer might surprise you.

People keep saying we want to work smart, not hard. But I don't want to just work smart — I want to work hard. I will. But I want to work smart from the beginning, to try and minimize the extent of the hard work.

And so making sure that you are actually properly vetting opportunities — whether or not they are going to be realistic considerations on a project — is very important.
