Why you shouldn't take all the credit for your success.

I'm really not doing anything significant on my own. It's the people I'm working with who are doing incredible things — the engineers working hard, laying out the groundwork, giving me an opportunity to share my opinion or maybe some things I've learned.

It's the architects who have these visions. It's the clients who are bringing these projects to life. It's the lighting designers who are thinking about this thoughtfully and really carrying the bulk of the load, having the tough conversations and putting themselves in a place where they're going to be critiqued, where they're going to be on stage and have to be prepared for whatever comes.
