Why projects fail without a lighting expert.

That gap is exactly where a lighting designer comes in — with the expertise to push back and say, "Look, we don't need to cut here. We can cut over here and do something a little less expensive, or address the lead time." Lead times also drive a lot of this, because lighting lead times tend to be pretty long.

Having that expert on board who understands that is where a gap opens up in the work I'm in — we often don't have that extra layer of expertise from lighting designers on our projects.
