Why brilliant science often fails to reach the real world.

What I see is that scientists are really great at science and very committed to getting results. But they usually don't have the patience or the skills to actually go out and make sure their scientific insights reach society. They write articles and give public lectures and these kinds of things, but that's still, in a way, done in isolation.

So what I really try to do is create more effect — more impact — from their work.
