From prototype to production: scaling hardware with 3D printing.

What we found out is that we just want to put as many lights in offices as possible. So we 3D print, we design our own control boards and our own LED boards, and then we just plug and play them right here and give them out to as many companies as possible.

From that we learned a lot — what kind of light they like, what kinds of modes they want, where they want the lights to be placed. Now we're scaling up to building the first 200 lights. We've produced around 70 so far and we have a new version that's a lot better. This is right before we want to go to the injection molding phase — the higher-volume production stage.
